Dutch Advanced 2
Course information
To follow this course, you should already have a fairly good level of Dutch. Your teacher will bring your Dutch to a higher level by offering various course materials, interactive exercises as well as authentic materials, including newspapers and television programmes.
After the course you will be ready to take out a subscription to the Volkskrant or the NRC and you will have the feeling that you can express yourself in Dutch fairlly accurately. You'll be familiar with the nuances of the Dutch, both in terms of word choice and in terms of body language, and you will learn the difference between such typically Dutch terms as geitenwollensokkentypes, corpsballen and zwartekousen.
Assessment
The intake procedure for this course comprises: intake interview, online testAfter you have registered for this course, we will invite you for an assessment to determine your level. We recommend that you enrol at least two weeks before the start of the course. If you enrol later than this, we cannot guarantee there will be time for the intake procedure. If you have completed the Dutch Advanced 1 course at UvA Talen, an assessment will not be necessary.
