Russian level 2
Course information
In the Russian level 2 course, you will expand your basic Russian skills. After this course you will, among other things, be able to:
- understand simple sentences (time, daily routine, favourite food and clothes)
- write down a recipe for a traditional national dish
- conduct a simple conversation with a shop assistant
Who is it for?
The Russian level 2 course is the right course for you if you already have some knowledge of Russian. For example, you are already familiar with the Cyrillic script, you know the Russian alphabet and the cardinal numbers 1 to 199.
What will you learn?
During Russian level 2, you will improve your Russian reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. Grammar and vocabulary are an important part of the course.
After this course you will be able to understand the essential information in simple stories about hobbies and daily routine, you can write a short informal letter about a trip and tell about your work and country, your favourite food, colour and clothing.
And grammar?
The grammar you learn during this course includes:
- using nouns, personal pronouns, adjectives and ordinal numbers in the prepositional case
- recognising the superlative form of adjectives
- using modal auxiliary verbs
Assessment
The intake procedure for this course comprises: intake interview, questionnaireAfter you have registered for this course, we will invite you for an assessment to determine your level. We recommend that you enrol at least two weeks before the start of the course. If you enrol later than this, we cannot guarantee there will be time for the intake procedure. If you have completed the Russian Beginners course at UvA Talen, an assessment will not be necessary.
