The group course Arabic level 6 is for students whose Arabic is at an upper-intermediate level (comparable to level B1.1 of the Common European Framework of Reference).
To take this course, you should be comfortable reading dialogues and short texts in Arabic with the help of a word list. Arabic level 6 focuses on practical communication and vocabulary-building in Standard Arabic. The course covers roughly the final third of Mastering Arabic 2, a textbook that builds communication skills through lively speaking, listening, and reading activities.
Topics that are dealt with during this course include news and media, climate and the environment, health and happiness, and the arts and cinema. Grammatical concepts include formal Arabic, the future tense, and conditionals.
The instruction language of Arabic level 6 is Arabic whenever possible.
The end level of this course equals level B1.2 of the CEFR. The course concludes with a final test. You will receive a certificate once you have successfully completed this test.
