E-learning

Our course offerings are not only limited to live group or individual sessions, but we also offer online, self-guided course options through our e-learning platform, The Language Academy!

These self-guided programmes focus on improving your vocabulary and sentence structure through the form of pre-recorded video clips mimicking real-life situations – all available to watch and study on your own time! The course structure follows a group of young individuals living in Amsterdam and offers a wide range of scenarios that help expand your understanding of what is being said around you. 

E-learning programmes in six languages

These e-learning courses are offered in six different languages, including Dutch, English, Spanish, Italian, French and German. 

Our Dutch and English e-learning courses, being the most popular options, have the largest offering – which include courses from the beginners (A0) to advanced (B2.1) levels. The remaining languages are offered in beginners and intermediate levels. 

Online+Teacher package

Would you like to combine these e-learning programmes with one-on-one conversation classes with an experienced language teacher? Good news – this course option can be found on The Language Academy website under the Online+Teacher package!

This package allows you to follow the course on your own time and from the comfort of your own home while adding either 5 or 10 online conversation classes with one of our teachers at UvA Talen to help answer any questions you may have about the course material thus far and practice your speaking skills.

Enroling is easy! Browse your language course options on The Language Academy website, click ‘Info and sign up’ under the individual course you would like to begin, follow the prompts by filling in your information and enjoy your course!
