Arabic level 3
The group course Arabic level 3 deals with practical communication, vocabulary-building, and differences between formal and informal Standard Arabic. Among other grammatical concepts, students master the use of the past tense.
Topics discussed during the course include talking about time, making comparisons, education and business, and future plans. Grammatical concepts include comparatives, plural forms of the past and present tenses, word order, and negation.
Arabic level 3 is the right course for you if you are comfortable reading dialogues and short texts in Arabic with the help of a word list. You will also need to be familiar with singular forms of the verb in the present and past tenses (e.g. he writes/wrote), simple possessive phrases (my pen), dual and plural nouns and adjectives, numbers, and the masculine and feminine forms of colours.
