Our group courses are designed for motivated learners who want to learn a new language in a short period of time. The course material is covered at a fast pace, you will receive homework assignments, and we ensure optimal interaction with your teacher and fellow students. Learning together is fun and accelerates progress. You get to meet new people, help each other, and make progress more easily. That’s why our group courses are extremely popular.

We offer group courses in 13 languages at almost all levels. You can choose between an online course or an in-person class in the centre of Amsterdam. Courses are available during the day, in the evening, and on weekends, with various scheduling options. However, all our courses have one thing in common: in a short time, you will make significantly improve your language skills in a fun and stimulating learning environment. UvA Talen inTense is ideal if you want to improve your language skills in a short time. In this highly intensive program for individual learners or small groups of up to four people, you fully immerse yourself in the language you want to learn over the course of several lesson days. Many participants opt for a five-day course week. Guided by a team of teachers, you follow a program tailored specifically to your needs. You can complement the lessons with additional learning activities, such as language excursions in vibrant Amsterdam or lunches and dinners with a teacher. Here, you decide when to start and when to take a break. You'll learn in an engaging and dynamic environment that we have fully developed, inspired by the vibrant city of Amsterdam. Alongside a cast of interesting characters, you’ll complete a comprehensive language course, which you can finish with an official certificate.
