Dutch Intermediate 1
Course information
By the end of our Intermediate I course you will be ready to watch easy Dutch films. Your experience of the Dutch language will grow into an entirely new challenge. In this course you will further expand your vocabulary and you will learn to understand more of the Dutch you hear around you.
You were already able to get by in simple everyday situations, but now you will realise you are able to understand more of a conversation going on between two Dutch persons and to understand the main points from the television news. Not only will you be able to state your favourite hobbies, but you can also explain why you love sports andwhat it is that you like about classical music.
If you successfully complete this course, you will receive a certificate showing the level you have attained and you will be able to continue to Dutch Intermediate 2.
Assessment
The intake procedure for this course comprises: intake interview, online testAfter you have registered for this course, we will invite you for an assessment to determine your level. We recommend that you enrol at least two weeks before the start of the course. If you enrol later than this, we cannot guarantee there will be time for the intake procedure. If you have completed the Dutch Beginners 1+2 (intensive) course at UvA Talen, an assessment will not be necessary.

The course material is not included in the course price. If you choose to follow lessons in class, you can buy your books through us. You then receive them during the first lesson. If you are going to take an online course, you will buy the books yourself.
